Fusion is a combination of a kitchen and a cupboard for small apartments, or for people that only cook occasionally. When not in use, the kitchen is elegantly hidden behind a brushed chrome front panel. Omission of handles and enhancement of gaps between doors and drawers lead to the clear, reduced appearance.
This work was part of a workshop called „Learning from Japan“ hosted by Anette Ponholzer of f/p design, munich. The focus was set on living in a small space, the reduction and combination of objects and the consideration of tradition. Fusion was developed in only 4 days as a group work with two colleagues, Thomas Mueller and Manuel Schneider.
