The Arctic Shield goggle uses an innovative style of lens. This new lens system was inspired by the swiss fire fighting helmets, which have a similar visor. Two big brackets connect the frame with the strap, which has an elastic hinge. In designing the Arctic Shield, I was inspired also by automotive designs, computer games, venetian masks, and pilot helmets, resulting in a technical sci-fi style look.
The Arctic Shield snow goggle represents a new independent design with a highg market acceptance.
The new lens system eases the removal and exchange of the lenses, and encourages lens change according to weather conditions. There is ventilation to all sides of the frame. The use of 3D cushioning textile instead of foam is new, which enables penetration and absorption of sweat from forehead and cheeks.
